Treatment Of Internal Failure Of Integral Eccentric Bearing

The internal factors of bearing failure mainly refer to the three factors that determine the bearing quality, such as structural design, manufacturing process and material quality.

The main causes of fracture failure of integral eccentric bearing are defect and overload. When the external load exceeds the material strength limit and causes the part to break, it is called overload fracture. Overload is mainly caused by sudden failure or improper installation of the host. Defects such as microcracks, shrinkage cavities, bubbles, large foreign objects, overheated tissue and local burns of bearing parts will also cause fracture at the defect during impact overload or severe vibration, which is called defect fracture. It should be pointed out that in the manufacturing process of bearing, the presence of the above defects can be correctly analyzed by instruments in the incoming re inspection of raw materials, quality control of forging and heat treatment and processing process control. But generally speaking, most of the bearing fracture failures are overload failures.

The main task of bearing failure analysis is to find out the main factors causing bearing failure according to a large number of background materials, analysis data and failure forms, so as to put forward targeted improvement measures, prolong the service life of integral eccentric bearing and avoid sudden early failure of bearing. During the operation of the bearing, due to the influence of external or internal factors, the original fit clearance is changed, the accuracy is reduced, and even “bite” is called clearance change failure.

External factors such as excessive interference, improper installation, expansion caused by temperature rise, instantaneous overload, etc., and internal factors such as residual austenite and residual stress in an unstable state are the main causes of clearance change failure.
1. The bearing is damaged.

Check the ball of the ball bearing or the bearing bush of the ball bearing for damage. Repair or replace if damaged.

2. The lubricating oil has impurities, is too dirty, the oil ring is stuck or the brand is wrong.

Replace the oil, find out the cause of jamming and repair it. Replace the lubricating oil when the oil viscosity is too high.

3. There is a lack of oil in the bearing chamber.

Fill 2 / 3 oil chamber with lubricating grease or add lubricating oil to the standard oil level line.

4. The lubricating grease in the rolling bearing is blocked too much, and the temperature of the lubricating oil in the integral eccentric bearing is too low or too high.

The excessive grease in the rolling bearing shall be removed, or the grease in the oil chamber shall be filled to 2 / 3.

5. If the fit between bearing and shaft, bearing and end cover is too loose or tight, too tight will deform the overall eccentric bearing, and too loose is prone to “running sleeve”. 

When the fit between the bearing and the shaft is too loose, the journal can be coated with metal paint, and re processed when it is too tight; If the fit between the bearing and the end cap is too loose, insert the end cap tightly and re process it if it is too tight.

6. The covers or bearing covers at both ends of the motor are not assembled well, which is usually not parallel, resulting in the overall eccentric bearing not in the correct position. 

Install the covers at both ends or the stop of the bearing cover, and tighten the bolts.

7. The belt is too tight or loose or the coupling is poorly assembled.

Adjust the belt tightness; Correct the coupling.

8. The wrong bearing model was replaced during maintenance.

Replace the bearing of the correct model as soon as possible.
